Mexican mosaic flower pot with green and cream Talavera tiles and a small ceramic folk art Guadalupe from Oaxaca! Guadalupe is three dimensional and was made by Leticia Aguilar in Ocotlan, Oaxaca. A unique one-of-a-kind pot! Ideal for Mexican folk art collectors or those who are fond of Guadalupe!
7” diam. x 3" tall
Pot has a drainage hole.
A terra cotta pot was used as the base for this mosaic flower pot. Hand-cut pottery pieces and tiles were applied to the pot. The pot was grouted and then sealed with a professional grade sealant to resist water and stains.
To ensure many years of use, I recommend placing your plant/flower in a plastic container before putting it into the flowerpot. The pot should be brought indoors in freezing temperatures or in periods of extended rain. Hand-cut tiles sometimes have sharp edges so please handle with care.
Happy growing!
NOTE: I collect Mexican folk art and Mexican pottery. Through the years, thanks to an accident or two, I have amassed a few broken pieces that I am now incorporating into my mosaics. The old Mexican shards are getting a "nueva vida" (new life). I hope you enjoy them as much as I do making them!
