Charming painting of a church scene.  In excellent vintage condition.  See photos.  Original frame was embellished by the artist with small graphic designs and title of painting.  Signed on board.

Villa was a commercial artist and easel painter.  He was born in Los Angeles and studied at the Los Angeles School of Art and Design.  Villa established himself as a commercial artist including a long career with the Santa Fe Railroad.  There he created his iconic emblem of the Santa Fe Chief.
